Tech Talk: Message for Christmas
anyajulia
Five days from today, the mobile phone carriers would have to deal with several millions of text messages of people greeting each other Merry Christmas. Emails would be sent, Facebook virtual gifts would be exchanged and even perhaps virtual family reunions via online chat and webcam would be happening. People from abroad may also send their Christmas greetings through the www.dyrdam.com website and the broadcasters of DYRD-AM will read them on the air.
While our means of sending our greetings to our loved ones may have changed and have become technologically advanced, our message has not changed: Merry Christmas!
Christmas is the day when Jesus Christ was born and was the start of his mission to save the world. We spend about four weeks in the Advent season preparing for his coming. This preparation is not about decorations and gifts and parties. It is about preparation of ourselves, to be ready to accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour. When we accept Jesus as our saviour, we manifest in ourselves His love and we should spread His love to everybody.
So let us not forget the essence of Christmas and that is Christ Himself. When we send our greetings, let us also send God’s love and say a little prayer for our loved ones as we press that SEND button on our mobile phones.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
