Padayon BMT goes online!

The PADAYON Bohol Marine Triangle is now online at www.padayonbmt.org. This is a project jointly developed by by Auza.net and PADAYON Bohol Marine Triangle Management Council, Inc. PADAYON is an acronym that stands for Panglao, Dauis, and Baclayon, the three municipalities that comprises the BMT area.
Currently the website holds information to the organization’s history, Board of Trustees, its By Laws, Memorandum of Agreement, Vision and Mission, Environmental Laws, 2008 Milestone Report, Gallery, Affiliates are to name a few.
PADAYON envisions a dynamic catalyst and sustainable organization practising shared governance in environmental conservation providing excellent service and responsible stewardship of BMT resources. And exists to conserve the divers and unique ecosystem of the BMT to enhance its social, economic, and ecological value for the sustainable benefits of its stakeholders.
It was created under the Office of the Governor through Executive Order No. 22, Series of 2004 and pursuant to RA 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991) which encourages LGUs to consolidate and coordinate their efforts, services and resources for purposes commonly beneficial to them. The same policy is supported by RA 8550 (Fisheries Code of 1998) which promotes the integrated management of contiguous fishery areas to facilitate single resource management system.
Registered in June 2006 with the SEC as a non-stock and non-profit organization, PADAYON have obligated itself under a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in June 7, 2007 and being enhanced through another MOA in September 7, 2008 to include the Provincial Government of Bohol and the Office of the First Congressional District to strengthen and further ensure the sustainability of programs in the area.
