Tech Talk: CalAmp-RAYnetworks Holds Special Training on Wireless Networks for Utilities and Industrial Applications

CalAmp, a US company that provides wireless communications solutions that enable anytime/anywhere access to critical data and content, held several training sessions across the Philippines between August 10 to 14, 2009, with the last session held in Bohol Island on August 14. CalAmp has chosen Raynetworks, Inc. as its Sole Partner in the Philippines.
The training was conducted by Robert Moses, Business Development Director, Boaz Amir, APAC Sales Manager and Gordy Wilcox ASEAN Sales Representative. The CalAmp team was accompanied by Juner Yaneza, Managing Director of Raynetworks, and Aaron Obico, Sales Officer. The half-day training covered Cellular and Dataradio Overview and CalAmps Products and Solutions starting with Viper-100/400/900™, a UHF/VHF data radio that allows IP connectivity over vast distances, and the LandCell-882™ a 3G broadband router with multiple data interfaces.
CalAmp also demonstrated the features of the LandCell-882™ which was able to connect at HSPA speed to a 3G network and enabled Mr. Moses to make a Skype call to the US with excellent clarity. The LandCell-882 is also customizable allowing certified partners like Raynetworks, Inc. to develop custom data capture solutions for their customers.
The training was attended by representatives from Bohol Light Company, Inc, Bohol Water Utilities, Inc, Gerisonic, Auza.Net, AMA CLC and other I.T. Enthusiasts.
