The newly refurnished K of C Recreation Center opens its doors to the public once again after three months of major repairs and improvements.  The center was the first recreation center in Tagbilaran City and was open since the 1950s.  Bowling, table tennis, darts, chess, and other board games will be available while a refreshment booth is ready to serve snacks and drinks.  The 700 sqm center is also a WiFi zone and a limited number of free demo access cards will be given to laptop users on a first come, first served basis.

Today’s opening will start with a mass at 2PM, followed by the ribbon cutting and blessing.  The invited guests will then participate in a mini tournament. The center will be open at 9AM to 6PM Mondays to Saturdays and at 1PM to 6PM on Sundays starting on June 29, 2009.

There are plans to put up a rappelling practice site, a half court for basketball and an outdoor badminton court.

Tournaments may be held at the center, as well as, physical education classes for the games available.  Various board games are also available for kids and parents alike.
