Auza.net’s ongoing OJT Program trains 18 students

The 2009 Summer OJT Program of Auza.net is currently training eighteen students who come from different schools in Bohol like CVSCAFT, UB and, HNU and one student from the Samar State University. The OJT program consists of several trainings in Networking, Web Development, Multimedia, Linux and open source technologies which will then be applied by the trainees in a real-world scenario.
The trainees under the Web Development Team are trained to develop websites through Content Management System using Wordpress.
Those in the Networking Team are taught Metro Wifi deployment. It aims to deploy another Wifi zone along CPG Avenue from Holy Spirit School to St. Joseph’s Cathedral. This Wifi zone can be accessed in the coming future by using rSPOT cards available at Auza.net Internet Media Center along K of C Drive.
All trainees are exposed to open source technologies especially the Linux operating system, Wordpress content management system, MySQL, PHP and web design. They will also be taught practical skills in information technology, technical sales/marketing and technical support.
