Auza.Net is giving out free 1-hour rSPOT WiFi cards that may be used at its downtown branch, the Internet Media Center (IMC), at K of C Building, K of C drive, starting on October 27, 2008 until supply lasts. Anyone with a WiFi ready laptop or mobile device may avail of the free cards and can access the Internet at the IMC and surrounding areas. To get the free access cards, please visit the IMC and register.
The IMC is the latest rSPOT WiFi Zone implemented by Auza.Net and it features the BeamFlex technology of Ruckus Wireless ZoneFlex products (www.ruckuswireless.com). BeamFlex uses a unique antenna system and control software that automatically adjusts to environmental conditions ensuring strong WiFi signal while mitigating interference. The rSPOT system developed by Auza.Net, features a unique accounting method of the login time by actually counting the online time instead of simply recording the first time login and expiring the card after one hour.
Users may also purchase additional access cards at the IMC. 1,2,5,10 and 24 hour cards are available, with the 24 hour cards offering the best value. The number of hours are counted only if the user has logged in thus rSPOT cards can actually last long. For example, if you buy a 2 hour card and use it for 15 minutes today, you will still have a remaining 1 hour and 45 minutes of online time which you may consume in short online sessions. This makes sense for mobile users who may only need to check emails before proceeding to the next appointment.
Hurry! Visit the IMC and get your free rSPOT card while supply lasts!
