SQL-Ledger Accounting System

June 6th, 2007 by techsier

I knew early on when I opened up my small business that proper accounting of all transactions is critical in ensuring continuity of the business. I researched for an open source accounting software so I don’t have to purchase proprietary software that would tie me up to proprietary operating systems. The winner among my short list of potential software was SQL-Ledger. It beat all the others in features and flexibility. It was also quite easy to deploy because it was a web based system.

We’ve been using the system for more than a year now and the hard work to be done by my bookkeeper is the data entry to the general ledger or in the POS, AR and AP transactions. After that, all accounting reports needed are just a few clicks away. You can compare financial statements of two periods which eased up tracking of the business performance.
